Eternity Rings

Did you know that the term 'eternity rings' literally means 'infinity'? The infinity symbols we have seen and become familiar with since childhood actually date back to ancient times, and throughout history, they have carried unique meanings in different periods and cultures. These symbols, with their many variations, have mostly been used to represent eternal love. The circular shape of the ring, with no beginning or end, symbolizes an endless cycle. However, when these designs are incorporated into jewelry, like in eternity rings, they add even more depth to their meaning. Today, eternity rings have become a piece of jewelry used both to give meaning to a woman's spiritual depth and to signify a man's desire for his love to last forever in a romantic relationship.

History of Eternity Rings

Let’s take a closer look at eternity rings. These rings are made up of a band of gemstones that run continuously around the ring. The stones are either very similar in shape or cut in the same style and size. Essentially, they represent events that flow without interruption, always moving in the same direction. When we look at their history, we can see that eternity rings are believed to date back to the Roman Empire period. In addition, they are also thought to have roots in ancient Egypt. Given that Ancient Egypt can be considered the heart of jewelry usage, it’s impossible to discuss the history of jewelry without mentioning it.
